My purchase from a model railway show was this 1/35 scale A38 Tortoise tank kit by Meng!

As is usual, I had to take Mrs. Woody to the Market Deeping Model Railway Club Exhibition. She didn't know she wanted to go but I knew she would be upset if she did not attend. Well that is my version of reality! Mrs. w. did indeed come along to the show which to be truthful was not the best show by the club that I have attended. Some great layouts and good traders but there was just not that WOW moment for me or Mrs. W. I did have the chance to chat with some friends and exhibitors and I'll talk about the layouts tomorrow.

As I have always informed Mrs. W, it is the law that you have to make at least one purchase from an exhibition or model shop so my purchase from a model railway show was this 1/35 scale A38 Tortoise tank kit by Meng!

I have been after one of these for years so was pleased to get hold of it and as a major plus point it has no etched brass parts - oh joy!

Normally I balance out my purchases by getting Mrs. W some cookies from the cookie lady. However, this year she was not there for some reason so I had to take Mrs. W out for something to eat! We stopped at a nearby Ok Diner where they always have a great display of American memorabilia.

Great burgers too followed by for Mrs. W a banana split....

and for me a toffee waffle sundae!

The meal actually cost me more than I spent on the tank kit! I must be loosing it!
